Hotel Peter & Paul’s story begins in the 19th century, when this site formed part of a Catholic parish complex in the Marigny, centred around the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul. Over time, a schoolhouse, convent, and rectory were added, creating a small, self-contained community shaped by faith, education, and daily life in New Orleans.

After decades of use, the buildings were eventually deconsecrated and fell into quiet disrepair, before undergoing a careful four-year restoration. Each structure was preserved and reimagined with its own identity, retaining original architectural details while introducing a layered design that draws on European influences, local craftsmanship, and the spirit of the city.
