Story

Reschio’s story begins nearly 1,000 years ago, when this vast stretch of Umbrian countryside was first settled as a defensive estate, its medieval castle rising above oak forests, olive groves, and rolling farmland. For centuries, the land remained a working agricultural domain, shaped by stone farmhouses, ancient paths, and the slow rhythms of rural life.

In 1994, Count Benedikt Bolza and his family began a meticulous restoration of the estate, breathing new life into the castle and its scattered dwellings with extraordinary care. Original stone walls, vaulted ceilings, hand-carved beams, and terracotta floors have been preserved, while bespoke furniture, antiques, and artisanal details designed by the Bolza family bring warmth, elegance, and unmistakable character to each space.
